Born in modern-day Israel, the brilliant Dr Eliyahu Goldratt was a scientist who made a remarkable career in the field of business management. In his early corporate days post-academia, Dr Eli discovered that persistent organizational patterns continued to affect implementations aimed at delivering improvement. His observations led to the publication of The Goal, the seminal work that introduced the world to his philosophy of the Theory of Constraints. The book was a runaway success - businesses discovered that its fresh, potent approach to solving problems galvanized growth and enabled them to set sights on new horizons. The Goal remains a bestseller even today.
